Rabat: an economy of services, files and administration
As Morocco's administrative capital, Rabat hosts ministries, public institutions and diplomatic missions. Around them a dense network of consulting, engineering and research firms, accounting practices, law firms, communication agencies, training and IT companies has grown. Salé, Témara and Kénitra complete the area with retail, logistics and industrial activity.
These businesses mostly sell time, deliverables and services delivered in stages. Their challenge is not inventory but traceability: which quote was accepted, which instalment has been billed, which public or private client is paying late. SOGESTIO is built to follow exactly that thread.
Companies bidding for public contracts: tracking every job
A company working with the administration must issue rigorous documents and follow payments that can take time. The Projects module records the contract amount, then tracks costs and invoicing per job, so you can see at any moment what is left to bill and the margin achieved.
Example: a 25,000 DH study assignment excluding VAT with a 30% down payment. The down payment is 7,500 DH excluding VAT, or 9,000 DH with 20% VAT. The balance of 17,500 DH becomes 21,000 DH including VAT, for a total of 30,000 DH. SOGESTIO computes these amounts server-side, numbers each invoice sequentially and tracks each payment's due date. Payment terms between companies are regulated by law 69-21, so have your terms checked by your accountant.
- Contract amount, costs and invoicing tracked per project.
- Down payments and instalments on the same job.
- Days sales outstanding (DSO) and overdue list in reports.
- Supporting documents attached to invoices in the Documents module.
Professional firms: fees and bookkeeping
Rabat's accounting practices, consultancies and liberal professions bill one-off fees and recurring engagements. Recurring invoices automate monthly retainers, and the client portal gives each client a private link, with no account to create, to view invoices and accept a quote online, with name, time and IP address recorded.
On the accounting side, CGNC entries are generated with every invoice and payment; journals, general ledger, trial balance, matching and financial statements (balance sheet, CPC income statement, ESG) are available. Advanced mode is for accountants, simple mode for managers who want to understand their figures without jargon.
Startups in the capital: connecting the ERP to your stack
Rabat's tech startups need a tool that plugs into their product instead of retyping sales. SOGESTIO offers an API with API keys, signed webhooks, Excel or CSV import and export, and automatic import of Shopify and WooCommerce orders. The drag-and-drop CRM pipeline follows opportunities from first contact to signature.
The English interface makes it easier to work with foreign co-founders or investors, while documents can still be issued in French or Arabic for Moroccan clients.
Kénitra and Salé: industrial and commercial SMEs in the region
Kénitra has become an industrial hub, notably around the automotive industry and its suppliers, while Salé is home to shops and workshops. For these businesses SOGESTIO handles supplier orders, goods receipts that feed stock at net purchase cost, batch and serial numbers, and payroll with CNSS, AMO and IR.
The DAMANCOM preparation file and the preparatory 9421 statement for SIMPL-IR cut down retyping at filing time, while filings remain validated by the company or its accountant.
E-invoicing, VAT and remote onboarding
SOGESTIO exports validated invoices and credit notes in the structured UBL 2.1 format (with ICE, IF and RC), which prepares the move to the e-invoicing system announced by the DGI, whose official technical specification is not yet published. The VAT deductions statement exports in EDI XML for SIMPL-TVA.
SOGESTIO has no office in Rabat: it is an online service available across Morocco, and onboarding happens remotely. The 14-day free trial needs no card; the Pro plan, which includes projects, CRM, accounting and payroll, costs 449 DH/month or 4,490 DH/year excluding VAT.
Frequently asked questions
Is SOGESTIO suitable for a company bidding on public tenders?
It covers the management side: quotes, project tracking with contract amount, down payments, instalments and overdue follow-up. It does not handle the bid submission itself on government platforms.
Can a firm give access to its external accountant?
Yes. You create a user with the accountant role. They work in the same database, and the audit log keeps a trace of every change.
Is SOGESTIO licensed by the DGI?
No, and no software should claim so while the official specification is unpublished. SOGESTIO exports validated invoices in the structured UBL 2.1 format (with ICE, IF and RC), which prepares the move to the e-invoicing system announced by the DGI.
Our startup sells on Shopify. Are orders imported?
Yes. Shopify and WooCommerce orders are imported automatically. The API and signed webhooks also let you connect your own application.
Is there a SOGESTIO office in Rabat or Kénitra?
No. SOGESTIO is an online service with no physical branch. Everything is set up remotely, and you can try it free for 14 days.
