SOGESTIO

Invoicing software for auto-entrepreneurs in Morocco

SOGESTIO helps Moroccan auto-entrepreneurs issue quotes and invoices that are numbered automatically and carry their identifiers, track revenue month by month and see which customers have not paid yet. The Starter plan, at 199 DH/month excl. VAT, covers the essentials for a one-person business.

What gets harder once your auto-entrepreneur business takes off

At first, an invoice is a word-processor file and tracking fits in a notebook. Then customers pile up: an agency handing you design work, a company asking for an invoice with your ICE number, a private customer paying in two instalments. You duplicate the last invoice, forget to change the number, two documents end up with the same one, and at quarter-end you add everything up by hand to find out what you actually collected.

The auto-entrepreneur status is built around revenue: regulations set ceilings by type of activity, along with filing and payment rules specific to the status. Not knowing where you stand invites unpleasant surprises. Thresholds and rates change; check them on the official auto-entrepreneur portal or with an accountant, not on a commercial website.

  • Copy-pasted invoices with duplicate numbers
  • Identifiers missing from an invoice sent to a company
  • Revenue recalculated by hand every quarter
  • Instalment payments hard to follow
  • No overview of late-paying customers

Clean invoices, numbered by the server

In SOGESTIO, auto-entrepreneur is one of the legal forms offered when you set up your company record. You enter your details and identifiers (ICE, IF and any others that apply) and your bank details once; they then appear automatically on every PDF quote and invoice, with your logo if you have one.

Numbering is assigned by the server, sequentially, by document type and by year, so two invoices can never share a number and deleting a draft does not leave a gap. Documents can be generated in English, French or Arabic, which helps if you work for customers abroad.

What about VAT?

This question comes up constantly, and the answer depends on your situation, so do not rely on a rule a friend once mentioned. SOGESTIO lets you configure your company's rates, prefilled at 20%, 14%, 10%, 7% and exempt (0%). If your regime does not make you liable for VAT, your documents can be issued without VAT; if it does, amounts before tax, VAT and totals are computed line by line.

Either way, have your settings and invoice details confirmed by an accountant or against official sources. SOGESTIO automates the arithmetic; it does not decide your tax regime.

Tracking revenue without a spreadsheet

The dashboard shows revenue by month, unpaid and overdue invoices, and your customers' average payment time. You see straight away if a customer has started paying at 60 days when you agreed on 15.

For a regular customer (a monthly social media package, IT maintenance, recurring private lessons), a recurring invoice is set up once and comes back automatically each period. The customer portal gives every customer a private link to find invoices, download PDFs and accept your quotes online.

  • Revenue by month on the dashboard
  • Unpaid and overdue invoices, average payment time
  • Recurring invoices for regular customers
  • Customer portal with online quote acceptance
  • Expenses by category and a cash register

Example: one month for a freelance web developer

A freelance web developer in Rabat, registered as an auto-entrepreneur, invoices three customers in October: 4,500 DH for a showcase site, 2,000 DH of maintenance from a recurring invoice, and 3,500 DH for an online shop, half of it paid as a deposit. Her dashboard shows 10,000 DH invoiced for the month, 1,750 DH still to collect on the shop, and the running total since January.

When it is time to file under the status rules, there is nothing left to add up: she exports the invoice list to Excel and checks the figures with her accountant if needed.

The right plan: Starter now, more later if your business changes

Starter is built for this profile: 199 DH/month or 1,990 DH/year excl. VAT (roughly 17% saved on the annual plan), one company, up to 2 users, with sales and invoicing, stock, and expenses and cash. The free 14-day trial needs no bank card and no commitment, and the data you enter is kept when you subscribe.

If your business grows and you need accounting, banking or payroll, Pro (449 DH/month excl. VAT) adds those modules, and you can switch plans at any time. Moving to another legal status is a decision to discuss with your accountant.

Frequently asked questions

Does SOGESTIO work for the auto-entrepreneur status?

Yes. Auto-entrepreneur is one of the legal forms available when you create your company record, and the Starter plan covers quotes, invoices, payment tracking and expenses for a one-person business.

Will my identifiers appear on my invoices?

Yes. The identifiers entered in your company record (ICE, IF and others) and your bank details appear automatically on every PDF quote and invoice.

Does the software tell me the status revenue ceilings?

No, SOGESTIO does not set regulatory thresholds. It shows your monthly and cumulative revenue; compare it with the current ceilings published on the official portal or confirmed by your accountant.

Do I have to charge VAT?

That depends on your tax situation, which you should confirm with an accountant or official sources. SOGESTIO can issue invoices with or without VAT depending on your settings.

Can I create invoices from my phone?

Yes. The Android app shares the same data as the web version, so you can create a quote or invoice wherever you are.

How much does SOGESTIO cost for an auto-entrepreneur?

Starter costs 199 DH/month or 1,990 DH/year excl. VAT, plus 20% VAT, after a free 14-day trial with no bank card. Subscriptions are paid by bank transfer.
