SOGESTIO

Management software for wholesalers and distributors in Morocco

SOGESTIO is an online ERP built for Moroccan wholesale trade: it tracks the credit granted to each customer with a credit limit and due dates, records cheques and bills of exchange (LCN) with their maturity date, manages several warehouses and produces delivery notes that turn into invoices. For a wholesaler, the Pro plan combines stock, sales, purchasing, banking and accounting.

The real job of a wholesaler: selling on credit without running dry

In Morocco, wholesale runs on credit. The corner grocer, the retailer in the old medina or the reseller in a regional market pays at 30, 60 or 90 days, often by cheque or LCN, sometimes in cash when the delivery driver comes by. The wholesaler effectively finances its customers' stock out of its own cash, while its own suppliers expect to be paid on time.

The risk is not selling too little. It is delivering for too long to a customer who has stopped paying. Without a reliable outstanding balance, the sales rep keeps loading the truck, until three cheques bounce in the same week.

  • Customer balances known only at month end, when it is too late
  • Cheques and LCN bills in a drawer, maturity dates forgotten
  • Stock spread over several warehouses with no overall view
  • Paper delivery notes that never become invoices
  • Gaps between what left the warehouse and what was invoiced

Credit limits, payment terms and receivables per customer

In SOGESTIO, each customer carries payment terms (cash, 7, 15, 30, 45, 60, 90 days or custom) and a credit limit. The due date of every invoice is calculated from those terms, and the receivables list shows who owes what, since when, and which invoices are overdue.

Example: a retailer has a 50,000 DH credit limit and 46,000 DH of unpaid invoices, then places a new 6,000 DH order. The balance would reach 52,000 DH, 2,000 DH above the limit. That is the moment to ask for a payment before delivering, not after. The days sales outstanding (DSO) report shows whether your customers are paying later and later over the months.

Cheques and LCN bills: every item has a bank, a maturity date and a status

The Bank & treasury module records every cheque and bill of exchange (LCN) received with its number, the drawee bank, the maturity date and its status: in the portfolio, deposited for collection, or returned unpaid. Bank statements are imported in MT940 or CSV format and reconciled against your transactions instead of being ticked off line by line.

Example: a 20,000 DH invoice excluding VAT, or 24,000 DH including 20 % VAT, settled by an LCN at 60 days. The bill appears in the portfolio with its date, and the 13-week cash forecast places it in the right week, so you can see in advance which weeks will not cover your supplier payments.

Several warehouses, one consolidated stock

A distributor often has a main warehouse, a secondary depot in another city and sometimes stock held at a partner. SOGESTIO handles multiple warehouses: every receipt, issue or transfer is traced, stock goes down with each delivery and up with each supplier receipt, and valuation uses weighted average cost (CMUP).

For food, cosmetics or hygiene products, batch tracking shows which batch went to which customer. Minimum-stock alerts warn you before a fast-moving item runs out, and stock counts bring quantities back in line with reality.

Delivery notes that become invoices without retyping

The sales chain follows the field: quote, purchase order, delivery note, invoice, payment. The delivery note prepared for each customer on the route leaves the warehouse with the driver; once the goods are handed over, it becomes an invoice with nothing to retype. Numbering is assigned by the server per document type and per year.

Trade customers can receive a private link to their client portal, where they view their invoices and download PDFs carrying your ICE, IF and RC, without creating an account. Price lists let you maintain semi-wholesale, wholesale and key-account prices.

Which plan for a wholesaler or distributor?

Pro at 449 DH per month excluding VAT (4,490 DH per year) is the right starting point: on top of sales and stock it adds purchasing and suppliers, banking with cheques and LCN bills, CGNC accounting, CRM and payroll, for up to 10 users. If you run several companies, for example an import company and a distribution company, Groupe at 990 DH per month excluding VAT (9,900 DH per year) includes 3 companies, up to 30 users and a consolidated view of revenue and cash.

Starter only suits a very small stockist that needs neither banking nor purchasing. The 14-day free trial requires no credit card and no commitment.

Frequently asked questions

Can I stop a customer who exceeds their credit limit?

SOGESTIO keeps a credit limit per customer along with their receivables and overdue invoices. You have the information you need to decide whether to deliver or to require a payment before the next order.

How do I track the LCN bills my customers give me?

Each bill is recorded with its number, bank, maturity date and status, and the 13-week cash forecast takes those dates into account. This feature belongs to the Bank module, included in the Pro, Groupe and On-premise plans.

Can my drivers use the software on their route?

The Android app shares the same data as the web version, and the delivery note prepared at the warehouse is then turned into an invoice. SOGESTIO does not plan routes: it handles the documents and stock for each round.

Is stock updated on delivery or on invoicing?

Stock is updated on every delivery and every supplier receipt. What physically leaves the warehouse leaves the stock, even if the invoice is issued later.

Can I run my import company and my distribution company together?

Yes, with the Groupe plan. Each company keeps its own data and numbering, a selector lets you switch between them, intra-group transactions are supported and a consolidated view shows group revenue and cash.

Are accounting entries generated automatically?

Yes, in plans that include accounting: every invoice, payment and purchase generates its entry in the Moroccan chart of accounts (CGNC). Tax returns are still validated by you or your chartered accountant.
