Souss-Massa: an economy built on land, sea and exports

The Souss plain and the Chtouka area are known for early vegetables and citrus, much of which is exported after going through packing houses. The port of Agadir supports boat owners, fish wholesalers, canneries and seafood processing plants. The seaside resort draws tourism that keeps laundries, transport firms and food suppliers busy, while wholesale markets such as Inezgane supply the whole south.

A packing house receives produce from its own farms and partner growers, stores it in cold rooms, then ships it. Example of a two-rate invoice: 30,000 DH of goods excluding VAT billed at the exempt rate and 2,000 DH of logistics service at 20%. VAT comes to 400 DH and the total to 32,400 DH. The VAT treatment of your products and of exports must be confirmed with your chartered accountant; SOGESTIO then applies the chosen rate line by line.

Fishing and processing: many purchases, payments to track

Fish wholesalers, canneries and freezing plants buy daily from many suppliers and sell to wholesalers or abroad. Supplier invoices and their due dates are tracked in the Purchasing module, supplier debts show on the dashboard, and cheques and bills of exchange (LCN) received or issued are recorded with bank, due date and status.

The 13-week cash forecast helps anticipate periods when raw material purchases weigh most, and MT940 or CSV statement import simplifies bank reconciliation.

Suppliers to seaside tourism

Around Agadir's hotels work industrial laundries, maintenance companies, transport firms, and drinks and fresh produce suppliers. They invoice the same customers every week or month: recurring invoices and per-customer price lists save time, and the client portal lets the hotel find and download its invoices without asking again.

Days sales outstanding (DSO) and the overdue list show which customers pay late, and credit limits keep outstanding balances in check during the high season.

Distribution across Souss-Massa and payroll for teams

Wholesalers and distributors serving Agadir, Inezgane, Aït Melloul, Taroudant or Tiznit manage multi-warehouse stock, credit sales and cheque payments. SOGESTIO covers the full chain from quote to payment, with computed due dates and minimum stock alerts.

A farm or packing house manager can check stock from the Android app. For a remote site with a weak connection, the On-premise edition runs without Internet on a server installed on site.
