SOGESTIO

Business management software and ERP for Tangier companies

SOGESTIO is a cloud ERP built in Morocco to run purchasing, inventory, sales, payroll and CGNC accounting in a single database. In Tangier it targets industrial subcontractors, logistics and transport companies linked to the Tanger Med port, and import-export businesses that need batch traceability, a reliable unit cost and documents in French, Arabic or English.

Tangier's economy and what it expects from an ERP

Within a generation, the Tangier region has become one of Morocco's major industrial and logistics hubs. The Tanger Med port complex, the free zones and business parks around the city, the automotive industry with its suppliers and a textile industry oriented towards Europe shape the local economy. Around these large players work many SMEs in machining, wiring, plastics, packaging, maintenance, transport, freight forwarding and trading.

These SMEs supply demanding industrial customers. They must prove where each part comes from, know their unit cost precisely and manage a large workforce. Those three points are where SOGESTIO adds the most value.

Industrial subcontracting: traceability and unit cost

Each supplier goods receipt feeds stock at net purchase cost and recalculates the weighted average unit cost (CMUP). Example: a workshop receives 1,000 parts at 12 DH, then 500 parts at 15 DH. Stock is worth 12,000 DH plus 7,500 DH, or 19,500 DH for 1,500 parts, so the CMUP becomes 13 DH, and that cost drives the margin on upcoming sales.

Batch and serial numbers answer the traceability requests of industrial customers, and stocktaking aligns book stock with physical stock.

  • Linked supplier orders, goods receipts and supplier invoices.
  • Batch and serial numbers on relevant items.
  • Negative stock rule to prevent delivering what does not exist.
  • Gross margin by product and by customer in reports.
  • Minimum stock alerts on critical materials and components.

Logistics, transport and forwarding around Tanger Med

Forwarders, hauliers and logistics providers bill many different services to regular customers. SOGESTIO lets them build invoices from price lists, schedule recurring invoices for warehousing contracts, and track expense reports and petty cash for drivers and field teams.

Payments by cheque or bill of exchange (LCN) are tracked with their due dates, and importing MT940 or CSV statements speeds up bank reconciliation when receipts are numerous.

Import-export and business zones: keeping entities separate

Tangier entrepreneurs often run one company located in a business zone and a separate trading company in town. The Group plan manages several companies, each with its own data, numbering and books, with tracked intra-group transactions and a consolidated view of revenue and cash.

VAT rates are configured per company, including the exempt rate; the tax treatment of exports or of a free zone must however be confirmed with your chartered accountant. Quotes and invoices can be issued in English for a foreign customer, and in French or Arabic for Moroccan customers.

Payroll for production teams

A Tangier plant or workshop often employs large teams. The Payroll module produces payslips with CNSS, AMO, IR and seniority, posts the payroll entry automatically, and generates the DAMANCOM preparation file for the CNSS return as well as the preparatory 9421 statement to transfer into SIMPL-IR.

These files prepare the returns; final validation stays with the company or its accountant.

Getting started from Tangier without waiting for a visit

SOGESTIO has no office or representative in Tangier: it is an online service available throughout Morocco, and setup is done remotely. Items and purchasing lists import from Excel or CSV, the Android app lets you check stock from the warehouse floor, and the 14-day free trial needs no card.

For an industrial site that prefers to keep data on premises or has an unreliable connection, the On-premise edition installs on the company's server and runs without Internet.

Frequently asked questions

Does SOGESTIO compute the cost of our parts?

It values stock at CMUP based on the net purchase cost of each receipt and shows gross margin per product. It does not manage routings or detailed production orders.

Can we trace batches delivered to an automotive customer?

Yes. Items can be tracked by batch or serial number on the way in and out, so you can find which batch went to which customer.

Our company is in a free zone. Is VAT handled?

Rates, including the exempt rate, are configured per company. The specific tax treatment of your zone should be confirmed by your accountant before you apply it in the software.

How much does SOGESTIO cost for an industrial SME?

The Pro plan, with purchasing, accounting and payroll, costs 449 DH/month excluding VAT for one company and up to 10 users. The Group plan, at 990 DH/month, covers three companies.

Can someone come and install the software in Tangier?

There is no on-site team: the cloud version is set up remotely in a few steps. The On-premise edition installs on your own server using Docker.
