Two ERP philosophies

Odoo is a well-known open-source ERP developed in Belgium. It is made up of many modules you switch on as needed, comes as a free Community edition and a paid Enterprise edition, and stands out for its extensibility: it can be adapted, extended and given custom features. In Morocco, as elsewhere, it is often implemented with an integration partner, and a Moroccan localization exists.

• Export of validated invoices in the structured UBL 2.1 format (with ICE, IF and RC), which prepares the move to the e-invoicing system announced by the DGI.

No integrator, fixed prices in dirhams

You can set up SOGESTIO yourself: create your company, import customers and items from Excel/CSV and start working. Prices are fixed and published: Starter at 199 DH excl. VAT a month, Pro at 449 DH excl. VAT a month, Group at 990 DH excl. VAT a month with 3 companies included, then 249 DH excl. VAT a month per extra company. On-premise is quoted on request.

For Odoo, the total cost depends on the edition, the modules, the number of users and, where relevant, the integrator's services. We do not quote those prices here: ask the vendor or a partner.

When Odoo is the better choice

Odoo is usually the better choice if your processes are highly specific and need custom development: a particular manufacturing flow, business rules unique to your organisation, or screens and automations you will not find in any standard software. Its open-source, modular design is made for exactly that.

It also suits organisations with an in-house technical team or a trusted integrator that want to grow their ERP over the years by adding new modules.

When SOGESTIO is a better fit

SOGESTIO suits Moroccan small businesses, SMEs and groups whose needs match common practice: invoicing, managing stock, tracking purchases, banking, cheques and bills, keeping CGNC accounts, and preparing VAT and payroll. List your ten most frequent operations and test them in each tool with your real documents: an invoice with several VAT rates, a partial delivery, a post-dated cheque received, a VAT return, a payslip. Compare implementation time and cost over several years, not just the entry price.
