Invoicing app in Morocco: quotes and invoices on your phone, even offline

SOGESTIO is a Moroccan invoicing app that runs on Android phones, on iPhone and iPad and on computers, even without a connection. Offline, you create customers, quotes, draft invoices, payments and expenses; everything syncs automatically when the network returns, and the server assigns each invoice its legal number. The Starter plan is enough to invoice from your phone.

Which devices can you invoice from with SOGESTIO?

SOGESTIO comes in two forms that share the same data. One is an Android app. The other is the web app: it opens in a browser and installs like an app on a computer, an Android phone, or an iPhone or iPad through “Add to Home Screen”.

To be clear: there is no SOGESTIO app on the App Store for now. On iPhone and iPad you use the installed web app, which gives access to the same quotes, invoices and customers as the office computer, offline mode included.

  • Android app for your phone
  • Web app you can install on a computer from the browser
  • iPhone and iPad: web app added to the Home Screen from Safari
  • One account and the same data on every device

How do you install SOGESTIO on an iPhone or iPad?

Installation goes through no app store: it is done from Safari, Apple's browser, in a few taps. Once the icon is added, SOGESTIO opens from the Home Screen like an app.

Do this first launch with a connection: that is when the device downloads a copy of the company's data, the copy it will then use offline.

  • Open Safari and sign in to your SOGESTIO account
  • Tap the Share button, the square with an arrow pointing up
  • Choose “Add to Home Screen” in the menu
  • Confirm with “Add”: the SOGESTIO icon appears on your Home Screen
  • Launch SOGESTIO from that icon, the first time with a signal

What can you do without a connection?

In a mountain village, in the basement of a building site or on a road through the Atlas, the signal often drops just as the customer says yes. The installed web app and the Android app keep working: you look up company data and record the day's work.

Each offline action is queued on the device. As soon as the connection comes back, sync starts automatically: your entries go up to the server, your colleagues' changes come down, and nothing has to be typed twice.

  • Look up customers, items, quotes and invoices
  • Create or edit a customer record
  • Draft a quote or an invoice
  • Record a payment, such as a cash deposit
  • Enter an expense: fuel, small equipment, meals

Why is the invoice number never assigned on the phone?

Picture two technicians from the same company, both without signal, one in Midelt and the other near Imilchil. The last validated invoice is no. 44. If each phone numbered its own invoices, both would create invoice no. 45: a duplicate, then a gap in the sequence once someone corrects it. Yet a continuous sequence with no gaps or duplicates is the first thing a tax inspector checks.

In SOGESTIO, an invoice created offline stays a draft with a provisional reference. The legal number is assigned by the server during sync, sequentially, per document type and per year, and totals excl. VAT, VAT and incl. VAT are recalculated on the server.

If two people edited the same document separately, SOGESTIO does not decide for you: at sync, the user is alerted to the conflict and chooses which version to keep.

Worked example: a quote accepted in an Atlas village with no signal

An electrician comes to rewire a guesthouse in a High Atlas village where phones get no signal. On site he prepares a quote for 3,600 DH excl. VAT. At the standard 20% VAT rate (to be confirmed for your activity, as rates change with each finance law), VAT comes to 720 DH, for a total of 4,320 DH incl. VAT.

The customer accepts and pays a 1,000 DH deposit in cash. The electrician records the quote and the payment offline on his phone. That evening, back in Azilal with a signal, the app syncs everything: the quote gets its number, the deposit shows in petty cash and the office sees the job without a phone call.

When the work is finished, the quote becomes an invoice with no re-typing. The PDF shows 4,320 DH incl. VAT, 1,000 DH already paid and 3,320 DH still due.

Complete PDF quotes and invoices, even when created on a phone

A document prepared on a phone is not a makeshift slip. The PDF produced by SOGESTIO carries your company identity (name, address, ICE, IF, RC, professional tax number) and can be generated in French, Arabic or English, depending on the customer.

  • Your company logo and colour
  • Payment terms and bank details
  • Amount written out in words
  • Amount already paid and balance due
  • QR code with the ICE number, document number, date and amounts
  • Space for your company stamp and signature

Lost or stolen phone: how do you protect your data?

A phone that works offline keeps a copy of the company's data. If it is lost or stolen, open the list of connected devices from another device and sign it out remotely: it loses access to the account, and its offline copy is erased as soon as it reconnects.

Also turn on two-factor authentication: on top of the password, a code from an authenticator app (such as Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator) is required at sign-in, with backup codes in case the phone is gone. Role-based permissions then limit what each technician can see or change.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a SOGESTIO iPhone app on the App Store?

Not for now. On iPhone and iPad you install the web app from Safari with “Add to Home Screen”: it opens from its icon, uses the same data and also works offline. On Android you can choose between the Android app and the installed web app.

Can I create an invoice on my phone without internet?

Yes, as a draft. You enter the customer, lines and amounts offline; during sync the server assigns the legal number and recalculates the totals. That is what keeps numbering free of duplicates even when several people work without a signal.

Do my phone and the office computer see the same data?

Yes, it is the same SOGESTIO account. A customer created on the phone appears on the computer after sync, and vice versa. The office can follow field quotes and prepare the invoice while the technician is still on the road.

How much does mobile invoicing cost?

Offline mode is not a separate add-on: it is included from the Starter plan, at 199 DH/month or 1,990 DH/year excl. VAT, for one company and up to 2 users. The 14-day free trial needs no bank card and no commitment.

Can entries made offline be lost?

They stay on the device until they are sent to the server, which happens automatically when the network returns. Reconnect your phone regularly, ideally every day in the field. If a lost device is wiped remotely, any actions it had not yet sent are lost.
